Sport / MARFRAN
We are historic leaders in winter sports, from ski boots to ice skates. Since the 80s our MARFRAN has been revolutionary for this market in giving to the finished product higher impact resistance even at low temperatures, better abrasion resistance and better aesthetics. In the last 5 years we focused on the lightening of the ski boot materials, creating customized compounds for each brand. All our compounds are available in different colors as well as in transparent finish.

We also produce compounds for water sports such as scuba diving (fins, masks, snorkels and accessories). Our MARFRAN are both soft and semi-rigid depending on the solution required by the customer, they are resistant to sunlight, to outdoors aging and to sea water. We offer our customers innovative technical compounds, making the processing of the material easier and improving the performance of the finished product.

Our thermoplastic elastomers have a wide range of mechanical properties: good compression set even at high temperatures, high elasticity and high elongation at break. We also pay particular attention to the appearance of the materials, we give our customers compounds with a velvety, soft-touch, glossy, transparent and colored effect both for moulding and extrusion.

All our compounds are approved by EU Food Contact Declaration No 10/2011 and FDA.

The production of MARFRAN.MED takes place inside a white room respecting strict quality procedures. This allows avoiding any kind of pollution in the compound. Everything is controlled and continuously monitored: from the air to the water to the surfaces in contact with the granule. Our controlled room is certified ISO 9001 and 13485 (legislation for the production of medical devices); our MARFRAN.MED compounds are certified ISO 10993 (guidelines for the biocompatibility and safety and implantability of medical devices) and USP Class VI (quality standards of the American Pharmacopeia).

Our range of products MARFRAN.MED has high versatility to satisfy every production, from injection molding to extrusion, moreover all our compounds are available in different colors and in transparent crystal finish.

Our MARFRAN compounds can be produced in colored version and containing active ingredients, essences and perfumes according to the customer’s request.

Among our MARFRAN compounds that comply with food contact regulations we have created specific materials for wine and spirits closures. Our materials are easy to print, colored, recyclable and phthalate-free.

We provide our customers with solutions with good elasticity, and with a good coefficient of friction that allows perfect bottle corking and uncorking. We customize the hardness and flexural elastic modulus of the compound and provide the MASTERFRAN expanding master upon customer’s request.

We work in collaboration with the major car manufacturers and OEMs to develop materials in order to improve the cars energy efficiency by proposing lighter and recyclable compounds. Our MARFRAN are odorless, have low VOC emissions and are resistant to impact even at very low atmospheric temperatures (-45 ° C). We customize color, hardness and flexural elastic modulus of the compound and provide the MASTERFRAN expanding master upon customer’s request.

We also have compounds with special flame-resistant and UV-resistant additives.

Our MARFRAN compounds find different applications in the construction industry, in particular for the extrusion of window profiles and fittings. Our thermoplastic elastomers have a wide range of mechanical properties: good compression set even at high temperatures, high elasticity and high elongation at break. The applications are extended to the hydraulic market on pipes and gaskets thanks to the suitability of our thermoplastic elastomers to be in contact with drinking water.

We also have compounds with special additives that improve flame resistance and aging damage. All our materials are colored and transparent.

Since 1987 Francesco Franceschetti Elastomeri has been producing thermoplastic elastomers TPE compounds based on SEBS, SBS and TPO.

Our company is based in Italy providing innovative and customized solutions suitable for different applications and technologies such as injection molding, extrusion, film coating and blow molding. All our compounds are available in different colors and in modulable hardness from 00 Shore A to 65 Shore D.
