Bimeo PRO
Bimeo PRO is a sensor-based device developed by Kinestica. It is used for rehabilitation of upper extremities of neurological patients, patients with traumatic and sport injuries, rehabilitation of elderly and others.
The development was based on cooperation between University Rehabilitation Institute Soča, Laboratory of Robotics at University of Ljubljana and more than 20 years of in-depth research. The goal is to help patients regain mobility after their incident, most commonly after stroke, traumatic brain or spinal injury, multiple sclerosis, dementia and other indications.
Bimeo PRO combines proven rehabilitation methods with virtual reality. It engages patients in a motivation training environment, where they train activities of daily living. Sensors are determining the position of the upper limb and together with proprietary algorithms provide an objective monitoring of the patient’s state and improvement. Besides being motivating for the patient, the system also provides an objective insight for the clinician.
