Micromed micro scissors are very sharp. Scissors with straight blades are used mainly for cutting and renewing of already openly dissected stuctures or for cutting finer threads.

Vessel Dilators
Vascular dilatators are forceps with prolonged, parallel tips. Especially suited for controlled, intraluminal vascular ectasia. For clamp’s sizes 1, 2 and 3 the end of the clamp is equipped with a chamfer for the matching applying forceps. Due to this chamfer the clamp is held securely by the applying forceps, so that it can be used in every level of movement without danger. The clamp opens by applying pressure to the vessel dilators. When the pressure is lessened it closes.

ReSekto
The bipolar ReSekto system greatly reduces the risks associated with the use of conventional monopolar systems, risks such as uncontrolled current flow are eliminated. With ReSekto current flow is limited to the space between the two distally placed electrodes and occurs only in the area visible to the surgeon. As bipolar resection is performed in saline solution, the
risk of a TUR syndrome occurrence is practically eliminated. The ReSekto bipolar electrode arrangement ensures outstanding ignition performance, with precise, reliable and consistent cutting and coagulation quality throughout the whole procedure.

Bipolar Forceps
Micromed offers accessories for high frequency surgery like bipolar forceps in several variations:

» Bipolar forceps from hardened stainless steel

» Argentum non-stick bipolar forceps have tips made from silver alloy with optimal thermal conductivity which prevents tissue sticking to the instrument. The thermal conductivity of silver causes the temperature of the tip to not exceed 100°C and thus creates the non-stick effect.

» Bipolar forceps titanium enables working without tiring. Titanium is considerably lighter than steel, absolutely corrosion resistant and non-magnetic. For this reason, they are also optimal for use in areas which have strong magnetic fields.

There are four different types: straight, angled, bayonet and bent. Available lengths range from 70 mm to 300 mm, with tips from 0.25, 0.3, 0.6, 1.0 and 2.0 mm. All bipolar forceps can be made with other measurements, tip widths, as well as with flat pin or with 2-pin plug.

RF 130 | Radiofrequency Unit
The basic advantages of the radio surgical devices with radio wave technology are: A highly focused effect, very limited spreading of heat, no carbonation, meaning no burning of tissue and thus hardly any scarring, as well as a short healing time. The radio waves are being directed through an electrode into the tissue with a frequency of 4.0 MHz.

The electrode remains cold during activation. The result of this is that no additional temperature control is necessary during treatments of hypertrophic mucous membrane. This atraumatic operation technique with radiofrequency of 4.0 MHz opens a new dimension for the surgeon in order to achieve excellent surgical results. The incisions are very gentle, precise and have minimal bleeding. A fast healing process grants the patient a speedy recovery and reduces treatment costs. Radiofrequency surgery cannot be equated with conventional systems of high frequency surgery.

Our compact Electrosurgical devices MD 100 have 100 Watt output power and meet all requirements of ambulant medical specialists. The electrosurgery devices have two of each monopolar cut and coagulation functions, as well as one bipolar coagulation function. The AUTO-START function offers a high comfort and safety for bipolar applications.

The electrosurgery unit regulates the power output automatically. Constant tissue measurements meter out the power output according to required demand. Thereby the set maximum output is not exceeded.

Argentum non-stick bipolor forceps have tips made from silver alloy with optimal thermal conductivity which prevents tissue sticking to the instrument. The thermal conductivity of silver causes the temperature of the tip to not exceed 100°C and thus creates the non-stick effect.

Vessel Dilators
Vascular dilators are forceps with prolonged, parallel tips. Especially suited for controlled, intraluminal vascular ectasia. For clamps sizes 1, 2 and 3 the end of the clamp is equipped with a chamfer for the matching applying forceps.

Due to this chamfer the clamp is held securely by the applying forceps, so that it can be used in every level of movement without danger. The clamp opens by applying pressure to the vessel dilators. When the pressure is lessened it closes. Vessel dilators are available with or without lock.

Kirschner Wire Applicator
The balance between function, form and material is a deciding aspect specifically in the medical field. The Kirschner wire applicator combines these elementary qualities into a unique medical instrument.

The instrument can be opened by pressure relief during insertion of wire, pulled back, thereafter closed anew, whereby the wire is gradually inserted into the bone up to the desired position.

For easier insertion and enhanced stability of rotation the wire tip can be pre-bent by means of an integrated bending device. The inside of the handle is fitted with a protective device as to protect the surgeon’s hand against improper handling.
