Fesia walk
The Fesia walk system is an electrical stimulation device intended to provide ankle dorsal flexion and plantar flexion in individuals with foot drop following a central nervous system injury or disease. During gait, the Fesia walk electrically stimulates the appropriate motor nerves of the affected leg to provide ankle dorsal flexion and plantar flexion, and may thus improve the individual’s gait. Medical benefits of functional electrical stimulation (FES) may also include enhancement of motor relearning, muscle strengthening, prevention/retardation of disuse atrophy, increased local blood flow and maintained/increased range of motion.
