HANK – LOWER LIMBS EXOSKELETON
HANK is a lower limb exoskeleton designed for rehabilitation of adults between 1.50 and 1.95 m in height, with a maximum body weight of 100 kg, such as stroke patients following neurological insults. It also can be used for gait compensation in patients who have paralysis of the lower limbs following spinal cord injuries. It is conceived for overground gait training in a clinical environment as a bilateral wearable device with six degrees of freedom (DoF), in which hip, knee and ankle are powered joints. Various criteria informed the mechanical design: an exoskeleton design should be ergonomic, comfortable and lightweight, with a strong structure, adaptable to different users and with safety in mind. In HANK, aluminium 7075 is primarily used in the mechanical structure in consideration of mechanical resistance and lightweight.

The final device weights about 12 kg including its battery pack. The exoskeleton frame has bilateral uprights for the thigh and the shank, hinged hip, knee and ankles and articulated footplates (distally) and a waist support (proximally). The range of motion (ROM) in actuated joints is mechanically limited for safety reasons.

BELK – KNEE EXOSKELETON
GOGOA has developed the BELK system, a wearable robotic device that can be used for knee rehabilitation, in the sub-acute phase of knee injuries. It incorporates “assisted-as-needed” control and Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) features, helping to speed-up and to improve the rehabilitation process.

Assisted-as-needed control allows creating a force field along the desired trajectory, proportionally applying torque only when the patient deviates from the pre-programmed correct pattern. This force field control, by assisting only the segments that the patient need, produces a natural gait pattern, improving the rehabilitation process.

HAND OF HOPE
Hand of Hope is a therapeutic device that may help patients regain hand mobility through motor relearning. It facilitates muscle re-education by both amplifying and rewarding a patient with desired motion in concert with his or her own muscle signal. The system continuously monitors and senses, but does not stimulate, the affected muscles. The patient can self-initiates movement through their often very weak voluntary EMG signals that indicate the intention to move. The system then filters and processes data to a motor on the brace to enable the desired motion. This processing occurs so quickly that it is transparent to the end user but more importantly, the EMG-driven robotics requires the patient to be actively engaged throughout the therapy session.

Through repetitive training using our system, a paralysed person, such as one who has suffered a stroke can enable them to perform daily activities such as opening, holding and picking up.

The system can be applied to patients starting from age 8-9 years old

About Us

Company details
Thought, spirit, desire, aim, animus, hope are meanings that comes to GOGOA Mobility Robots, a new company to make more human the technology and to give sense to the development that can help people to recover and increase their capacities to move.

GOGOA is a society located in Urola Garaia (Urretxu), that designs and manufactures wearable robotics to assist and rehabilitate the movement capacity of people with Acquired Brain Damage (ABD) or Spinal Cord Injuries and to increase the movement performance of humans (rescue services , fire fighters, workers under special conditions, …)

GOGOA born from a licence of the Cajal Institut (CSIC). And with the collaboration of Toledo National Paraplegics Hospital

GOGOA has the vocation to Research and develop wearable robots, augmented reality systems and IT aplications to help people to recover their capacities or to increase them in order to a betatter and more secure and productive development of their work.

GOGOA´s Business model is open and focus on the rent, leasing and sale of wearable robotics for Hospitals and rehabilitation centers, to particulars, to public rescue services and to companies both to rehabilitate the capacity to move and to increase the movement capacities or reduce the lesions risk
