VISOCALL IP
The future-oriented communications platform
VISOCALL IP is the new common technology platform for communications, organisation and care. A new future-oriented IP concept forms the foundation for the Internet and is therefore the mostly widely spread upstream open technological platform for all communications tasks.

VISOCALL IP stands for prioritizing operations security and economy. Clear advantages provide operators with a considerable performance advantage. IP network technology ensures the utmost safety against failure and permanent system availability. VISOCALL IP works together with external systems using interfaces in its own communications network and exchanges information with other systems – such as fire alarm control panels, alarm servers, billing systems, disorientation systems, DECT, pagers etc.

A completely upstream open system
In its basic form the VISOCALL IP carries out all important system functions: Nurse-call communications, IP telephony handsets, smart card system, electro-acoustic functions, Intranet and Internet services for staff and patients as well as being ready for video streaming. The system’s IP structure also allows it to combine with other IP-based systems.

Comprehensive compatibility and substantial servicing advantages
All wards which have previously been fitted out with VISOCALL PLUS and VISOCALL MP2 nursecall systems can be fully integrated into the new IP-based communications platform, without having to disrupt the system’s ongoing operation. Even analogue TV sets can be incorporated.

Relief for Staff Members
VISOCALL IP supports your care staff in many ways: Patients are more independent and can carry out simple activities without assistance; fail-safe devices, self-disconnecting plugs, clear displays and clear information about lighting modules make everyday life easier. Rapid assistance and modern convenience for patients

VISOCALL IP raises the alarm in a focussed way: A heart alarm, for example, is sent directly to the correct location, thereby ensuring that competent assistance arrives on the scene more quickly. However, IP technology also opens the way for many technologies in the future. Every patient terminal also contains an interface for operating elements for the most seriously disabled.

Certified in accordance with VDE 0834
An accredited and independent organisation confirms that VISOCALL IP completely complies to the current directives for call systems.

The upstream open standard platform
By using standard network technology, affordable modules and standard cabling, VISOCALL IP is simple and affordable to install. Even the decentralised hardware and software concept contributes considerably to minimising the servicing expenditure. Existing systems remain fully operational, with previous investment costs being guaranteed by the backwards compatibility of the VISOCALL IP with all VISOCALL systems.

IP – Proven a million times over
IP (Internet Protocol) forms the foundations for the Internet, and therefore is the mostly widely spread, upstream open technological platform for all communications tasks. With the help of IP, intelligent systems or networks within larger networks can address one another easily, and establish secure connections between each other.

Benefits for management and technicians
The deployment of IP network technology and the use of standard components considerably reduce the installation costs. Only a small number of staff members are needed to operate the system. The permanent self-monitoring of all system modules including cabling as well as automatic forwarding of faults to technicians increase security and ease of use.

Remote maintenance saves servicing costs
The flexible real-time fault management system and an easy-to-use log management process enable rapid and efficient intervention. Consequently, service costs are reduced to a minimum. A centralized firmware upload and configuration files, the possibility of remote diagnosis direct to the patient terminal as well as plug-in RJ45 connections ensure decisive cost savings in all modules.

Self-disconnecting plugs
An example for intelligent, cost-saving detailed solutions: In the event of strain in any direction, the self-disconnecting plugs give in, and pop out of the plug module.
This protects plugs, sockets and cables and prevents damage – for example when the patient bed is moved.

VISOCALL IP

Future-oriented platform for many applications
The highest level of security and system availability
Antimicrobial construction of operating devices reduces the risk of spreading of pathogens
Highest level of protection against system failure, permanent self-monitoring and system availability
Reduced overall investment and maintenance costs

Product category: Patient entertainment / patient infotainment systems
TV & Multimedia Terminals
Top class patient entertainment
Changes in the healthcare system cannot be overlooked: Hospitals are becoming centres for healthcare and are in direct competition with one another. Top class patient entertainment can prove to be a decisive advantage: It increases patients state of well-being, takes their mind off things and informs them – while on the other hand also giving care staff time that can be used for efficient patient care.

Comprehensive use of modern media
Our terminals are oriented in their ability to perform towards the developments in home entertainment and therefore use all the options available from modern communication technology. analogue and digital television and radio reception, AV and USB interfaces, an RJ45 telephone connection, integrate stereo low speakers and a headphone socket are all part of even the smallest model; external devices, such as DVD players, iPods and games consoles can be connected simply. Furthermore additional models are available for IP-TV, Internet access, games and Video on demand (VoD). A hybrid terminal for analogue and digital reception as well as IP-TV completes the range.

Ideal screen sizes
The various models have been optimised for the most frequent viewing distances. In order to give patients a relaxing experience when watching television, the terminals can be installed on flexible wall-mounted arms or on bedside cabinets.

The latest technology and simplest operation
Patient bed technology must also be simple and intuitive to operate even in extreme situations, must function flawlessly and also be easy to look after. Schrack Seconet’s new multimedia terminals are designed to withstand wear and tear in hospital for a long time. There are a wide range of options, they are simple to operate and their design is impressive.

SecoCareNET
From an insular solution to a common platform

Future-proofing for healthcare using networked structures

As a result of historical development, there is an array of solutions in hospitals and clinics, which render quick and efficient communication impossible. Various interfaces between individual systems, cost pressure, more stringent regulations and restrictions, changes in legislation, the lack of trained experts and the increasing workload for documentation all help to paint a picture of the situation, in which IP-based data networks (IP: Internet Protocol) provide the optimal solution.

Communication
Contemporary communication as a matter of course: Telephony for staff and patients, nurse call, internal communication with nursing staff, reachability (mobile end devices) etc.

Information
Information is available quickly – everywhere: Operating status, costs, medical data, information/entertainment for patients (Internet and Intranet), information for the management, locations of staff members and devices etc.

Security
Security is of utmost importance: Patient safety and staff security, failure safety, future safety, safety of investments, cost safety, data security, etc.

Efficiency
Care and service quality increases while costs fall: The optimisation of all processes increases the quality of all services and improves the ability to compete.

About Us

Company details
Schrack Seconet, an Austrian high-tech company which is one of the international leaders in the field of fire alarm, communication and security systems.
The company has subsidiaries in Poland, Sweden and Hungary as well as regional offices in Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Turkey and India. In Central and Eastern Europe we have a network of local partners.

In Austria, Schrack Seconet – headquartered in Vienna – operates six branch offices each with several affiliated servicing centres, thereby ensuring high quality customer service.

The path of becoming a leader in high-tech security systems
The company was founded as Schrack AG in 1920 by Eduard Schrack. In 1939 he bought shares of the Ericsson Österreich Elektrizitäts AG. His son Eduard Harald Schrack joined the family company in 1952, started his career as a member of the management board and became CEO 1973-1991 following into his father’s footsteps. By then they renamed the company to Schrack Elektronik. E.H.Schrack revived the collaboration with Ericsson in 1978. During the 90’s the company started expanding rapidly towards Eastern Europe. 1994 he retired and sold it to Ericsson AG Austria. The security and communication system division was separated and sold due to a management buyout as an independent company named Schrack Seconet AG in the same year. The company started with 135 employees– and meanwhile increased to more than 500 employees around the world.

The Swiss Securitas Group joined the company in 1997 and is has been holding 100% of the shares since 2013. At the end of 2005, Hans Zavesky, the company’s founder, handed over the management as general director to Wolfgang Kern and became Chairman of the Supervisory Board in June 2006.

In 2000, the third business area security systems was established as a business unit, to accompany our fire alarm and communication systems. The product portfolio has been supplemented for the protection of people and values, and Schrack Seconet AG is the overall safety provider for tailor-made and efficient solutions.

Technological top performance from Austria
Within the Swiss Securitas Group there are three cross-border competence centres ensuring the best possible progress in terms of technical development in each division, with Schrack Seconet being responsible for the development of fire alarm, communication and billing systems. Therefore Austrian know-how continuously flows into international co-operations and contributes to securing facilities all around the world.
