Niva Medical was established in 1990 by Mr. Jouko Niva. Mr. Niva has been involved in the field of physical therapy and rehabilitation since 1985. Offices were located in Munich, Germany in 1990-1995. Today the home office is in Espoo, Finland. Middle East Sales Office is located in Dubai, UAE. Niva Medical Oy represents two American physical therapy- and rehabilitation equipment manufacturers in Europe, Middle East and Africa on an exclusive basis – since 1990 Mettler Electronics Corp. (Est. 1957, Anaheim, California, USA) and since 1994 Whitehall Manufacturing Inc. (Est. 1946, City of Industry, California, USA). Also the line includes the Bovie electrosurgical line of products. Bovie (Est. 1926, Clearwater, Florida). All of them are recognized as leading companies within health care industry.
